About the Event and Conveners
The inspiration for this Conference was received at Reinhard Bonke’s “Passing the Torch Conference” of November 11, 2017; and was accentuated at the Christians in Higher Education Spiritual Summit convened by Mrs Adun Akinyemiju November 28-29, 2017. The direct motivation is the series of prophecies, old and new, that God will yet do a new thing in Nigeria at the end times – A Revival that would spring forth from the Institutions of Higher Learning and turn round all sectors in the country.
The purpose of the Conference is to revamp the spiritual climate at the OAU, and ignite a fire that would spread round the entire Institutions of Higher Learning in Nigeria. We are trusting God that this will key in with the many prophecies which indicate that Institutions of Higher Learning will play key nation-building roles in Nigeria at a time like this. The Conference will address critical issues of special relevance to the University community such as Immorality and Ethics, Evolution theory, Cultism and Drug abuse, Responsible citizenship and Nation building in the context of the long-awaited Kingdom of God. The theme of the Conference is: Thy Kingdom come, O Lord!
A Quick Synopsis on the Church Arise! LivingWater Ministries
In March 1997 during the GETAC organized by the SOTSM, Ibadan, the vision for CALM was received. It is to provide the LivingWater that would gladden the Body of Christ in the sense of Psalm 46:4 and Ezekiel 47:9. The means for achieving this have been through a Library Services, Newsletter, and Conferences/Public Lectures. Currently our Library holds well over a thousand books and audio-visual resources, while the 111th edition of our newsletter, Church Arise!, is currently in circulation. The newsletter publicizes cases of persecution (either overt or covert) against the Church, encourages the Church to maintain biblical focus and perspectives on all issues, and mobilizes action where advocacy is required – for example during the attempted introduction of sexuality education into the nation’s education curricula, from kindergarten to tertiary institutions.
FORWARD ANTHEM
I HAVE A DESTINY I know I shall fulfil,
I have a destiny in that city on a hill.
I have a destiny and it’s not an empty wish,
For I know I was born for such a time as this.
Long before the ages You predestined me
To walk in all the works You have prepared for me.
You’ve given me a part to play in history
To help prepare a Bride for eternity.
I did not choose You but You have chosen me
And appointed me for bearing fruit abundantly.
I know You will complete the work begun in me,
By the power of Your Spirit working mightily.

The Lord says, “I am going to begin to unravel the corrupt system in Nigeria and men will say it is impossible but I say with God all things are possible. There is going to be a revival in the Universities and this revival is going to be of such a large magnitude, that the revival in the Universities will affect the secondary schools and will affect the primary schools. And I am going to change Nigeria to the next generation says God….”
- Prophecy by Cindy Jacobs, year 2002
“So it is important to recall what God has said concerning Nigeria “A land covered with darkness in which there were groaning and cries with sparks of lights but needed a great light from heaven to blow away the darkness. It happened suddenly. It will happen suddenly”
Engr. Steve Olumuyiwa, (summarizing some prophecies concerning Nigeria at the West Regional Conference of the Intercessors for Nigeria. Ibadan, 24-26/05/07
“And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in. “ – Isaiah 58:12
==========================================================================================
- The spacious firmament on high,
with all the blue ethereal sky,
and spangled heavens, a shining frame,
their great Original proclaim.
The unwearied sun from day to day
does his Creator’s power display;
and publishes to every land
the work of an almighty hand. - Soon as the evening shades prevail,
the moon takes up the wondrous tale,
and nightly to the listening earth
repeats the story of her birth;
while all the stars that round her burn,
and all the planets, in their turn,
confirm the tidings, as they roll
and spread the truth from pole to pole. - What though in solemn silence all
move round the dark terrestrial ball?
What though no real voice nor sound
amid their radiant orbs be found?
In reason’s ear they all rejoice,
and utter forth a glorious voice;
for ever singing as they shine,
‘The hand that made us is divine.’
Joseph Addison 1712
- Stand up, stand up for Jesus, ye soldiers of the cross;
Lift high His royal banner, it must not suffer loss.
From victory unto victory His army shall He lead,
Till every foe is vanquished, and Christ is Lord indeed. - Stand up, stand up for Jesus, the solemn watchword hear;
If while ye sleep He suffers, away with shame and fear;
Where’er ye meet with evil, within you or without,
Charge for the God of battles, and put the foe to rout. - Stand up, stand up for Jesus, the trumpet call obey;
Forth to the mighty conflict, in this His glorious day.
Ye that are brave now serve Him against unnumbered foes;
Let courage rise with danger, and strength to strength oppose. - Stand up, stand up for Jesus, stand in His strength alone;
The arm of flesh will fail you, ye dare not trust your own.
Put on the Gospel armor, each piece put on with prayer;
Where duty calls or danger, be never wanting there. - Stand up, stand up for Jesus, the strife will not be long;
This day the noise of battle, the next the victor’s song.
To those who vanquish evil a crown of life shall be;
They with the King of Glory shall reign eternally.
